Locust Grove Summer Wedding in Louisville Kentucky

Taylor + Kyle’s wedding was the perfect laidback summer wedding at Locust Grove. If anybody knows me, they know I put comfort above anything else. So it goes without saying that I loved Taylor’s decisions, – the flowiest, most comfy wedding dress + barefoot (all day). That theme held true the whole day from an old vintage VW bus as a photobooth, to food trucks for catering, they stayed so true to themselves and let their day reflect their personalities. By doing this, they were able to focus on what the day was really all about and it allowed for so many emotional moments. The family prayer before the ceremony was one of my favorites. They had decided not to see each other until the ceremony, but they held hands on either side of a large oak tree for a family prayer and it was such a beautiful moment. I love when couples set themselves up to be able to feel the most they possibly can on their wedding day. To some extent, it does require some forethought and planning to make sure that these precious moments have opportunity. Another one of my favorite moments is when the family just couldn’t keep their little two year old, Braxton, from running up and hugging his mom & dad mid-vows. Que tears. Taylor also had a “first dance” with Braxton during the formal dances and he was having the time of his life, and almost as much fun as mom :). I could photograph their little family forever. We’re so happy to play a small little part in their day. Wishing this little family all the best in this new chapter.
