Bethany + Alex’s romantic downtown wedding was nothing short of a perfect evening.
Bethany got ready in an incredible little Airbnb. And from their first gift exchange, I knew it was gonna be one of those weddings where I’d be holding back tears the whole time. He got her a beautiful necklace. She got him cuff links, each with his parents signature on it. They had both passed away a few years back, but with his bride’s incredibly thoughtful gift, it’s as if they were right by his side all day long. Afterwards, Bethany had decided to do a first look with her Dad. You all are probably very well aware we love first looks for the bride & groom, but we are equally in love with first looks between the bride & her father. It’s such a special moment the first time he sees his little girl as a bride on the day he gives her away. And I think as far as reactions go, Bethany’s Dad takes the cake.
They went on to have their own first look at the Belle Isle Conservatory. The lush greenery provided such a beautiful location. Bethany did such an amazing job with planning out the locations all day, it was clear to see she had a vision for her wedding day, and it was a sight to see when it all came together. Which brings me to their quaint venue, the Jam Handy. It made for such a warm & intimate atmosphere to say their vows to each other while keeping their reception area open & spacious, perfect for dinner, drinks, & a good time. Plus, we’re always suckers for receptions with a coffee bar! The toasts & dances were some more tear jerkers, but I’ll let the photos fill in the blanks for me.
Bethany + Alex, your day and the people you had surrounding you to celebrate your love was truly special to witness, thank you for having us share a small part in it.
